HeyBop.ai is an AI music video generator for artists and musicians that turns songs into beat-synced music videos. You upload a song (or make one in Music Lab), choose a look, and HeyBop writes a shot list from the song's structure, generates every scene with AI video models and cuts them on the beat. It runs in the browser at heybop.ai.
What is an AI music video generator?
An AI music video generator is software that makes a music video from a song with generative AI. Instead of filming, it analyses the audio (tempo, beats, sections), plans a sequence of shots, generates each shot with a video model and edits them to the music. HeyBop.ai is an AI music video generator built around the beat grid, so every cut lands on the beat.
How does HeyBop.ai work?
In four steps. Listen: it analyses the song's tempo, beats and sections and finds the hook. Shot list: an AI director writes one scene per slot on that beat grid, with the same characters, wardrobe, palette and lighting throughout. Shoot: each scene is generated by the AI video model that suits it — you never pick a model. Cut: the clips are trimmed to the beat, colour-graded as one film and exported with your song.
Who is HeyBop.ai for?

What makes HeyBop.ai different?
Four product choices. The beat grid comes first, so cuts land on the beat rather than near it. Every scene is editable on its own — regenerate one shot without touching the rest. The price of every action is shown before you click, and failed generations are refunded automatically. And you never choose an AI model: HeyBop routes each shot to the engine that fits it and charges one stable price per clip.
Your music
Can I upload my own music?
Yes. Upload MP3, WAV, FLAC, M4A, AAC, OGG — up to 200 MB in the studio (50 MB when you start on heybop.ai/create before signing up). Songs from any source you hold the rights to work, including tracks made with Suno. You need the rights to the song you upload.
I don't have a song. Can HeyBop.ai make one?
Yes. Music Lab writes and sings a full song with vocals from a prompt or your own lyrics (40 credits a song), and it goes straight into the video. You can also start from one of the free starter tracks made for HeyBop.
Are HeyBop.ai videos synced to the beat?
Yes. Beat sync is the core of HeyBop.ai. Before anything is generated, it detects the song's tempo, beats and sections; every scene is planned on that beat grid, every clip is trimmed to it and the final edit cuts on the beat. Choruses get bigger, faster shots; quiet parts get room.
Can a character sing my song?
Yes. Sing along turns chosen shots into performance shots: the character sings the song to camera, lip-synced to the vocals. A performance shot is 150 credits for 6 seconds (250 for 10).
Making the video
How long does generation take?
A 12-second hook or a 30-second video is usually ready in about 3–5 minutes, and a full song usually in 5–10 minutes, because every scene is generated separately. HeyBop emails you when it's ready, so you can close the tab.
Can I put myself, my band, a pet or a mascot in the video?
Yes. Add up to 3 characters — people, pets or mascots — each from up to 3 photos (a character sheet counts as one). HeyBop keeps them consistent from shot to shot.
Can I change one scene without redoing the whole video?
Yes. Every scene is its own card with its own prompt and camera move. Rewrite or regenerate just that one — it costs one clip (60 credits on Standard) — and the rest of the video, the cut and the sync stay exactly as they were.
What visual styles can I choose?
12 looks: Cinematic, Anime, Lo-fi, Neon City, Surreal, Nature, Abstract, Retro VHS, 3D Render, Documentary, Noir and K-Pop Stage. Each is a starting point; you can direct any scene in your own words.
Can HeyBop.ai add lyric captions?
Yes, optionally. Captions are timed to the vocals, can be edited before you render, and come in several caption styles.
Publishing and rights
What platforms can I publish HeyBop.ai videos to?
Any platform that takes video. HeyBop.ai exports MP4 in 9:16 (1080×1920) for TikTok, Instagram Reels and YouTube Shorts, 16:9 (1920×1080) for YouTube, and 1:1 or 4:5 for Instagram and Facebook feeds, plus a free 15-second hook teaser. Every video can also get a public share page with an embed.
Can I use HeyBop.ai videos commercially?
Yes, on any paid plan: release the video, post it on monetised channels and use it in ads. Videos made with the free trial credits are for personal, non-commercial use. In every case you need the rights to the song, and HeyBop assigns to you whatever rights it holds in the video generated for you (see the Terms).
Does HeyBop.ai add a watermark?
Only on the free trial: those exports carry a small heybop.ai mark in the corner and are 720P. Videos made on a paid plan have no watermark and export in 1080P.
Pricing
How much does HeyBop.ai cost?
Your first 30-second video is free: every new account gets 330 trial credits, no card needed. Then plans are Pro $9.99/month (800 credits), Premier $29.99/month (3,000) and Studio $79/month (10,000), about 20% less yearly, or credit packs from $7.99. One credit is about one US cent; a full 3-minute video is from ≈$8.70 on Lite, ≈$12.90–18.30 on Standard.
What happens if a generation fails?
You get the credits back automatically. A job's cost is reserved while it runs and only charged if it succeeds; if a model errors, times out or the output fails moderation, the credits return to your balance and the ledger shows the refund.
Do credits expire?
Credits from packs never expire. Plan credits roll over while you stay subscribed.

Do I need to install an app?
No. HeyBop.ai runs in the browser on phones and computers.
What languages does HeyBop.ai support?
The site and the studio are available in 11 languages: English, Chinese (Simplified), Spanish, Portuguese, French, German, Italian, Japanese, Korean, Arabic and Indonesian.
